Signtronix: Basic Purposes for Signs

Businesses have always used signs to communicate various messages to the public.  Information on the signage is selected carefully to answer questions that have been asked frequently.  Signtronix has been designing signs for decades.  Each has unique needs for the ABCs of effective signage.

  • Attract more customers – More than 80 percent of all customers live within five miles of the business.  In a mobile society, loyal customers move away on a consistent basis, which leaves the business looking for new customers.  New signage whenever a product or service is introduced will attract interest from the passersby.  A few new customers each week translates into significant sales growth each year.

  • Brand the business – Elements in the sign should remind the passerby of the presence of the business.  The same people will pass by the location multiple times each month.  Having a unique product or service ensures that those people will visit at regular intervals.  This steady stream of business comes from association in the customer’s mind.  All advertising should contain some of the same elements that are present on the outdoor signs.

  • Create a steady stream of impulse sales – Location is important in the buying decisions of loyal customers.  A sign that is visible from the fast-moving traffic will draw people off the road.  Products and services must be uniquely packaged and priced to retain the loyalty of customers.  Additional exterior signage will draw attention when new products are introduced.  People love to buy, but they hate to be sold.  Signs should convey new opportunities to buy unique products.

Signs are posted outside businesses to remind busy people that the business exists.  Frequent visits from customers keep cash flowing into the business through all kinds of economic cycles.  Signtronix designers strive to make the most interesting signs on the streetscape to ensure that the client is visible.
